Boosterthon is starting this week! What a great fundraiser it's going to be! The kids are going to love it. It's an opportunity for all students to pull together for our school. Monies raised will go to technology needs in the classroom. We'll have lots of mini-incentives and pep rallies leading up to race day on March 6th! Go red team!!!

How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands.
- Reading:
Our targeted story element this week will be SEQUENCE.
In addition, the students have been put into Reading Olympics teams. They're all responsible for reading two short chapter books prior to the Reading Olympics team competition in late March. This fell at the perfect time to coordinate with our independent reading. This way the students don't need to read two books at once. They can use class time to complete the Reading Olympics books thoroughly under teacher guidance.
I'm enjoying my individual goal setting meeting with each student. Many of the students are cruising through their books. The goals they set for themselves are many times more difficult than the ones I've set for them. I love it!
- Language: Unit 8 Punctuation
Writing: This week we'll begin a personal narrative writing assignment tying in our new comma knowledge.
- Please let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns!
