Just a reminder that this Thursday is field day. Our class has been assigned my husband's native country, Argentina. All of the students are asked to come in appropriate shorts and a light blue (or close to light blue) t-shirt on Thursday. Don't forget to bring sunscreen and water. We'll have popsicles and gatorade as well.

Writing- This week we'll be working on a Star Base writing activity. Funding has been cut for next year and the Star Base program will no longer be available. We're going to use our persuasive letter writing to express our love for Star Base to the forces that be. Once that's completed, we'll begin a special Mother's Day surprise!
Reading-
This week we'll be covering chapters 11 and 12 in Hatchet. We will complete several team challenges, vocabulary, and comprehension questions to go with these chapters.
Social Studies-
Chapter 5-5 Progressives and Reforms
Chapter 6-1 The Beginning of WWI
