Check our our Tortoise and the Hare entry for Zoo Atlanta's Year of The Turtle contest. The rules were: - to rewrite the fable, The Tortoise and The Hare.
- to modernize the fable including at least one species of tortoise from Georgia and an environmental message
We did just that! I really gave this project to the students and let them do it independently! I'm so proud of them. They wrote the script, created the characters, created the background, and met the contest rules all on their own. They had fun and learned a lot as well. Thanks to those of you who donated items to make crepes on Friday. They students enjoyed this treat, and we wrote poetry about it as well.
Don't forget that this Friday will be Blue Ribbon Day at SCPS. Please email me if you have any questions.
