What we're working on:
Math- We had a tricky week last week in Math. We worked on place value and although the students understood the concept, there was much room for error as forgetting something simple such as naming the positions behind the decimal point "thousandths" instead of "thousands" lowered many grades. Many of the students found the first Diagnostic Checkpoint challenging. Please realize that the concept is difficult. If your student did not do as well as you would have liked on this first quiz, please don't be too concerned. I take Math grades daily. There will be plenty of opportunities to improve grades. We'll continue to practice these concepts throughout chapter 1. I think you will see marked improvement by the end of the chapter.
