Boosterthon is in full swing! We've enjoyed our group meetings each morning. They include exercises, a lesson, a Bible verse, and prizes! Everything you need for a great start to the day. We have three more team meetings prior to our fun run on Thursday. My class should wear red t-shirts along with athletic pants or athletic shorts approaching the knee. Go red team!!! Mrs. Brown's class will be at Starbase all week, so our schedule will be off, but we've worked hard to rearrange to get everything in. We'll begin doing type to learn this week as well.
Don't forget tomorrow is crazy sock and shoe day. Uniforms can be worn with whatever shoes and socks you want.

Tests and Quizzes This Week
- Friday - Bible verse test
- Bible: Lesson- Daily Lessons with Boosterthon
- Reading: This week we'll be studying PLOT, CLIMAX, and CAUSE/EFFECT.
We'll be reading for 20 minutes each day in class. Each day the students are expected to fill out a reading log entry at the end of class. I'll be assigning 15 minutes or reading homework on Tuesday and Thursday this week. The only way I can be sure the student's have completed the reading homework is by checking the reading log for a short entry along with parent initials. Please be sure you sign your student's reading log on Tuesday and Thursday evening to ensure they'll receive full points homework.
- Language: Unit 8 Punctuation
- Writing: This week we'll write about the books we're currently reading.
We will also begin using SCORING HIGH to practice for the Language and Reading sections of our standardized testing.
- Please let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns!
Thanks! Mandy Garola
