- I hope you all had a wonderful Easter. I hope the days off included lots of memorable family time. Thank you, Carmen DeYoung for the yummy Easter cupcakes you provided for the class. Mrs. Speir's class will be at Starbase this week, so in Math the students will be working on a review packet in class for 45 minutes each day. Believe it or not, I can do fifth grade Math and will be happy to assist them if they need it.

- Reading: This week we'll continue listening to the audio of Hatchet by Gary Paulsen Survivor style. The students enjoyed listening and competing in team challenges last week. They are reading along with the audio and will be expected to review the book and pass the reading counts test as a quiz grade upon completion of the book. We'll also continue to read our independent reading books. I'm also reading aloud the book Wonder, by R.J. Palacio, which is WONDERFUL. Ask your student about it.

- Please let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns!
