I just wanted to remind you of a few things this week..
1. .NEHS students are asked to meet this Thursday, April 10th from 2:45 to 3:30 to put together the Easter baskets for Hospice. We will be working in Brenda Caruthers' classroom. Thank you,
Brenda Speir - 5th Grade NEHS Advisor
2. Please send in your one sheet of poster board of any color for Writing. We'll be creating a portfolio to house all the the assignments we've done this year.
3. This week is standardized testing. We will not have any written homework. We will still have a Bible verse quiz on Friday. It's a fill in the blank test over Psalm 119: 9-16, so please do study that. Dr. Palmer asks that NO NUT cards be used during the week of standardized testing. Thank you to those of you sending in a snack for the students one day this week. I think Carmen may still have a day or two she needs covered, so please email her if you are willing.
4. We'll work hard at our testing in the morning. We will still trade classes next week, but each class will only meet for 30 minutes. We'll be planning "lighter" activities because we know the students will be a bit brain dead after spending the morning testing. In reading we'll be listening to the audio of a wilderness adventure book by Gary Paulen, Hatchet. We'll even form "tribes" and get to do some survivor style challenges to go with the book! It's going to be fun!
Have a great week!
Thanks,
Mandy Garola
